Mobile ad hoc networks are the ones which allow mobile nodes to spontaneously form a network and share their
services. The dynamic environment of MANETs demands service selection should not only based on functional properties but also be driven by non-functional requirements. In this paper we present a modelling method of Non-Functional properties. The degree of impact of the property on QoS may vary. So, we allow the application designer to define weight for each property. The evaluation function for the properties cannot be uniform as the type of the property may be Boolean, string or numeric depending upon the nature of the property. Three different evaluation functions based on the type of the property have been defined. The sum of the weighted metrics is used to select the services.
